Fra tr\u00e6klodser til opfindelsen af trykpressen er der sket store fremskridt. De har formet den m\u00e5de, vi l\u00e6rer, t\u00e6nker og kommunikerer p\u00e5, og det er forbl\u00f8ffende at t\u00e6nke p\u00e5, hvor mange facetter af vores liv, der er blevet p\u00e5virket af print.<\/p>\n

Pionerer inden for print<\/h2>\n

F\u00f8r Johann Gutenberg opfandt trykpressen med bev\u00e6gelige typer, trykte kineserne med udsk\u00e5rne tr\u00e6blokke. Teknikken blev taget op af koreanerne og spredte sig til sidst til Europa. I det 15. \u00e5rhundrede begyndte Gutenberg at t\u00e6nke p\u00e5 at skabe en st\u00f8rre mekanisk presse, og den trykte revolution begyndte. I stedet for at v\u00e6re begr\u00e6nset til at producere trykte materialer i h\u00e5nden, hvilket kr\u00e6vede en betydelig m\u00e6ngde tid, f\u00e6rdigheder og l\u00e6sef\u00e6rdigheder, kunne der produceres op til 500 b\u00f8ger om ugen.<\/p>\n

Adgang til information<\/h2>\n

Da det blev lettere at producere b\u00f8ger og pamfletter, begyndte information at sprede sig. Tidligere var det kun religi\u00f8se ledere og kongelige, der havde adgang til b\u00f8ger, og kun f\u00e5 mennesker kunne l\u00e6se og skrive. Men da l\u00e6sematerialer blev mere udbredte, begyndte folk at l\u00e6re at l\u00e6se. Med s\u00e5 stor en stigning i adgangen til information lagde folk st\u00f8rre v\u00e6gt p\u00e5 uddannelse. Kommunikationen blev forbedret, og l\u00e6sning blev et popul\u00e6rt tidsfordriv. Det udl\u00f8ste en videnskabelig og kulturel revolution. Print har \u00e6ndret verden i dette tilf\u00e6lde, da en ren\u00e6ssancebev\u00e6gelse blomstrede. Masseproducerede b\u00f8ger stimulerede v\u00e6ksten af universiteter og forfatteres succes.<\/p>\n

Derfra er en verden af viden vokset frem. Kan du forestille dig et liv uden b\u00f8ger? Aviser? Magasiner? Muligheden for at eje en kopi af din egen religi\u00f8se tekst, uanset hvilken tro du m\u00e5tte f\u00f8lge? Selv simple, trykte nyhedsbreve eller brochurer<\/a>? Vi ville stadig v\u00e6re i m\u00f8rket.<\/p>\n

Religi\u00f8se forskelle<\/h2>\n

En stor del af denne ren\u00e6ssance var den protestantiske reformation. Trykpressen begyndte at lave kopier af Bibelen, og den fortsatte med at s\u00e6tte gang i spredningen af information. Inden l\u00e6nge blev der produceret materialer, som promoverede alternative kristne l\u00e6res\u00e6tninger eller satte sp\u00f8rgsm\u00e5lstegn ved kirken. En af de mange m\u00e5der, hvorp\u00e5 tryk har \u00e6ndret verden, var dens rolle i denne religi\u00f8se revolution og mange andre siden.<\/p>\n

Teknologiske fremskridt<\/h2>\n

Ud over at v\u00e6re med til at s\u00e6tte gang i denne ren\u00e6ssance har print \u00e6ndret verden ved at fungere som udgangspunkt for andre teknologiske fremskridt. Id\u00e9en om at skrive p\u00e5 maskine blev sandsynligvis f\u00f8dt ud af det, og som f\u00f8lge heraf opstod opfindelsen af skrivemaskiner, computere og endda iPads, blogs, internettet og e-mail.<\/p>\n

Verden i dag<\/h2>\n

I 2015 tager vi muligheden for at printe for givet. Mange mennesker har vendt sig v\u00e6k fra trykte materialer som aviser eller breve og v\u00e6lger i stedet de elektroniske versioner. Samtidig anerkender nogle af os, at print stadig er et utroligt vigtigt medie, som man ikke kan give helt afkald p\u00e5 til fordel for en smartphone. I dag er det m\u00e5ske s\u00e5 let at f\u00e5 adgang til trykte medier, at vi er n\u00e5et til det punkt, hvor vi tror, at vi ikke har brug for dem, men brug lige et \u00f8jeblik p\u00e5 at overveje, hvor vi ville v\u00e6re, hvis Gutenbergs trykpresse aldrig var blevet til noget.<\/p>\n
