I hjertet af London, mellem Great Ormond St Hospital og King's Cross, ligger Coram's Fields. Denne gr\u00f8nne park og legeplads er en velkommen kontrast til de travle gader rundt omkring og et vidunderligt sted for b\u00f8rn at v\u00e6re aktive. Den er ogs\u00e5 hjemsted for velg\u00f8renhedsorganisationen Coram's Fields, som yder tiltr\u00e6ngt st\u00f8tte til b\u00f8rn og deres familier.<\/p>\n

Planen om at skabe det lille bibliotek i Coram's Fields blev udkl\u00e6kket af Alia Bokhary og hendes to sm\u00e5 b\u00f8rn, Oliver og Cara, som alle elsker at bes\u00f8ge parken og legepladsen. De blev inspireret efter at have set et lignende projekt et andet sted. Det fort\u00e6ller Alia:<\/p>\n

\"Vi st\u00f8dte p\u00e5 et lille gratis bibliotek i slutningen af 2022 og syntes, at bogudvekslingen med det hjertevarme 'tag en, del en'-koncept var vidunderligt.\"<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Dette m\u00f8de fik dem til at gribe initiativet og hverve deres eget persongalleri til at hj\u00e6lpe med at etablere det lille bibliotek p\u00e5 Coram's Fields.<\/p>\n

En samfundsperle i hjertet af London<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Corams marker<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Konceptet er enkelt: At skabe et sted, hvor b\u00f8rn og deres familier kan komme og l\u00e5ne en bog til at l\u00e6se og efterlade en anden i stedet, hvis de er i stand til det. Det er en vidunderlig id\u00e9, der er f\u00f8dt ud af venlighed og gener\u00f8sitet, og som udnytter f\u00e6llesskabets kraft og vores f\u00e6lles k\u00e6rlighed til l\u00e6sning. For at g\u00f8re dr\u00f8mmen til virkelighed var der dog en r\u00e6kke praktiske ting, de skulle tage stilling til.<\/p>\n

At bringe historien til live<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Alia og hendes familie blev hurtigt klar over, at de skulle overvinde et par forhindringer, f\u00f8r det lille bibliotek kunne blive til virkelighed. De skulle bruge et sted og tilladelse til at etablere sig der. De skulle have et lager af b\u00f8ger for at komme i gang. Selve det lille bibliotek skulle designes og bygges. Og de skulle bruge skiltning for at give biblioteket en identitet og fort\u00e6lle de bes\u00f8gende, hvad de skulle g\u00f8re.<\/p>\n

Heldigvis var det ikke sv\u00e6rt at l\u00f8se problemet med placeringen. Coram's Fields var det perfekte sted til projektet, og den velg\u00f8renhedsorganisation, der administrerer parken, tog helhjertet imod ideen. Men s\u00e5 skulle det h\u00e5rde arbejde med at g\u00f8re biblioteket til en realitet for alvor begynde.<\/p>\n

Heltenes rejse<\/strong><\/h2>\n

\"Unge<\/a><\/p>\n

Alia begyndte med at kontakte alle de personer og organisationer, hun kunne komme i tanke om, som kunne have noget at tilbyde. Responsen var opmuntrende. Inden l\u00e6nge havde Alia samlet en imponerende liste af bidragydere:<\/p>\n

\"Vi gik i gang med at finde ud af, hvem der kunne hj\u00e6lpe os, og vi er blevet s\u00e5 opmuntret og overv\u00e6ldet af gener\u00f8siteten hos de mange bidragydere til projektet.\"<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Anerkendt illustrator Allen Fatimaharan<\/a> designede det lille biblioteks logo, mens Gerrish Design<\/a> s\u00e5 til skiltningen. Paul Godbolt og Anna O'Flaherty fra Richmond upon Thames College stod sammen med et hold af deres studerende for design og konstruktion af selve biblioteket og indarbejdede arkitektoniske detaljer som s\u00f8jlerne og det vinklede tag fra strukturer i parken, s\u00e5 det passede lige ind i Coram's Fields.<\/p>\n

Attic Self Storage i King's Cross tilb\u00f8d gratis lagerplads, mens en lang r\u00e6kke forlag og forhandlere stillede l\u00e6sestof til r\u00e5dighed, herunder Walker Books, World of Books, Harper Collins, Bettterworldbooks og Acorn Book Club. B\u00f8rnebogsforfatteren Cate Douglas bidrog endda med signerede eksemplarer. Da alle brikker var faldet p\u00e5 plads, kunne biblioteket endelig \u00e5bne sine d\u00f8re, eller m\u00e5ske snarere vinduer, for offentligheden.<\/p>\n

G\u00e5 ind i Solopress<\/strong><\/h2>\n

P\u00e5 dette tidspunkt i historien f\u00f8rte et tilf\u00e6ldigt m\u00f8de p\u00e5 en messe til, at Solopress blev involveret. Det fort\u00e6ller Alia:<\/p>\n

\"Jeg m\u00f8dte Glen under The London Stationery Show, hvor jeg arbejdede frivilligt for en anden fantastisk velg\u00f8renhedsorganisation. Vi havde en dejlig snak, og da jeg t\u00e6nkte p\u00e5 et firma, der m\u00e5ske kunne hj\u00e6lpe med klisterm\u00e6rker og bogm\u00e6rker, kom jeg straks til at t\u00e6nke p\u00e5 Solopress. \"<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Alia havde m\u00f8dt Glen Eckett, marketingchef hos Solopress, som var blevet inspireret af historien om det lille bibliotek. Glen var enig i, at klisterm\u00e6rker og bogm\u00e6rker ville v\u00e6re de perfekte printprodukter til at ledsage b\u00f8gerne og sprede bibliotekets budskab. Vi gik i gang med at designe og trykke produkterne, og vi er stolte af at kunne sige, at Alia n\u00f8d sin oplevelse med Solopress:<\/p>\n
