Dieser gro\u00dfe Zustrom von Besuchern veranlasste die Unternehmer, Unterk\u00fcnfte und neue Attraktionen zu bauen, um daraus Kapital zu schlagen und das Wirtschaftswachstum in den K\u00fcstenst\u00e4dten anzukurbeln.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31886\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Westcliff-Rail-Poster.jpg\" alt=\"Westcliff Seaside Rail Poster\" width=\"600\" height=\"426\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Nat\u00fcrlich wurden zahlreiche Plakate zur Werbung f\u00fcr die K\u00fcstenst\u00e4dte angefertigt, um die von der Regierung angepriesene frische Luft und Erholung zu verbreiten, die nun reichlich vorhanden war. Southend-on-Sea zum Beispiel war der einzige Badeort, f\u00fcr den in der U-Bahn geworben wurde. Elektrische Z\u00fcge brachten die Urlauber bis nach Barking, wo Dampflokomotiven den Rest der Reise \u00fcbernahmen. Von 1910 bis 1939 waren Southend-on-Sea und Shoeburyness sogar Teil der District Line. Im Zuge des Vintage-Trends haben viele diese klassischen Werbespots kopiert; die Originale gelten heute als Sammlerst\u00fccke.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31888\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Southend.jpg\" alt=\"Southend Seaside Poster\" width=\"600\" height=\"995\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Letztes Jahr um diese Zeit wurden in New York fast 200 alte Reiseplakate aus der ganzen Welt versteigert, wobei einige Gebote \u00fcber $500.000 erreichten. Die Auktionatoren erinnerten die potenziellen K\u00e4ufer an eine Reisezeit, in der Urlaub f\u00fcr Wohlhabende, Dampfeisenbahnen die Norm waren und Verkehrsflugzeuge Propeller hatten.
