La palabra en s\u00ed se remonta al n\u00f3rdico antiguo \"brandr\", que significa quemar. En las empresas de hoy en d\u00eda se considera una herramienta que puede hacer triunfar o fracasar un negocio en funci\u00f3n de c\u00f3mo se utilice para darlo a conocer. Adem\u00e1s, la conciencia de marca ayuda a los clientes a comprender qu\u00e9 productos o servicios se venden bajo esa marca.<\/p>\n<p>La idea de la comprensi\u00f3n de las marcas se remonta a la naturaleza, donde algunos insectos, como las avispas y las abejas, tienen rayas amarillas y negras. Hace unos 32.000 a\u00f1os, las pinturas rupestres eran otra forma de mostrar el significado a trav\u00e9s de representaciones visuales. Se representaban determinadas formas para dar significados m\u00e1s profundos, muy parecidos a los logotipos de hoy en d\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31948\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/branding-iron.jpg\" alt=\"hierro candente\" width=\"600\" height=\"250\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Dando un paso de gigante, la palabra marca se empez\u00f3 a utilizar alrededor del a\u00f1o 2.700 a.C.. Los or\u00edgenes de la marca son mucho m\u00e1s sencillos que su equivalente moderno, siempre rodeado de misterio: el ganado se marcaba para indicar su propiedad. Una forma sencilla de simplificar la posesi\u00f3n y, con el tiempo, ciertas \"marcas\" empezaron a connotar calidad cuando se prefer\u00edan a otras. Al imponerse la idea de identificar diferentes marcas con un determinado distintivo, se aplic\u00f3 a toda una multitud de productos. Incluso una hogaza de pan recuperada de las ruinas de Pompeya ten\u00eda una marca \u00fanica en la parte superior para indicar su panader\u00eda; incluso en el a\u00f1o 79 d.C. la elecci\u00f3n del consumidor se guiaba por la identidad de marca.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31949\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/bass-branding.jpg\" alt=\"marca bass\" width=\"600\" height=\"473\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Aunque diferentes empresas llevan dos mil a\u00f1os dejando su impronta en los productos, s\u00f3lo hasta hace relativamente poco tiempo se ha protegido la propiedad con alg\u00fan estatuto jur\u00eddico.
