Il a rapidement gagn\u00e9 en popularit\u00e9 gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 son style excentrique pour des publicit\u00e9s de chaussures et a \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans une \u00e9mission qui l'a fait remarquer par RCA Records. \u00c0 cette \u00e9poque passionnante de l'expansion de l'industrie, il est charg\u00e9 de concevoir des pochettes d'album et du mat\u00e9riel promotionnel.
