{"id":27184,"date":"2014-12-10T13:42:24","date_gmt":"2014-12-10T13:42:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/?p=27184"},"modified":"2019-07-02T14:30:31","modified_gmt":"2019-07-02T13:30:31","slug":"afdrukken-in-de-loopgraven","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/nl\/print-industry-news\/print-in-the-trenches\/","title":{"rendered":"Afdrukken in de loopgraven - de rol van onze industrie in WO1"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><em>Tijdens de Eerste Wereldoorlog leverden leden van de Britse grafische industrie aanzienlijke bijdragen aan de oorlogsinspanning.<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Omdat het nu honderd jaar geleden is dat de Eerste Wereldoorlog uitbrak, wilden we de impact van deze dappere drukkers en de uitdagingen waar ze voor stonden nader bekijken en voorbeelden laten zien van <strong>afdrukken in de loopgraven<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Impact op de industrie<\/h2>\n<p>Aanvankelijk had de grafische industrie te lijden onder het uitbreken van de oorlog. Er waren grote tekorten en bezuinigingen, de werkloosheid steeg en mensen gingen in andere oorlogsgerelateerde beroepen werken. Onder drukkers heerste echter een overwegend patriottische houding ten opzichte van de oorlog en duizenden mannen meldden zich vrijwillig aan. Velen van hen werden velddrukkers.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_27186\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-27186\" style=\"width: 350px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-27186\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/12\/WWIPress02.jpg\" alt=\"eerste wereldoorlog print in de loopgraven\" width=\"350\" height=\"263\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-27186\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Een voorbeeld van een drukpers uit WO1.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Afdrukken in de loopgraven<\/h2>\n<p>Met lange werkdagen, krappe budgetten en strikte deadlines vonden mensen drukwerk in de burgerluchtvaart misschien een uitdagende carri\u00e8re, maar drukken in de loopgraven was een heel ander verhaal. Ongemakkelijke en verraderlijke omstandigheden en krappe faciliteiten waren te verwachten, net als afdrukken in de modder, in alle weersomstandigheden, terwijl artillerievuur boven je hoofd klonk.<\/p>\n<p>Het velddrukwerk van het leger werd officieel gestart in 1915 door het Britse Expeditieleger en vormde de basis voor de Army Printing and Stationery Service. Deze zette in 1916 en 1917 verschillende kampementen op in Europa. Ze hadden een gebombardeerde drukkerij in Frankrijk ontdekt en gaven deze opdracht om een divisieblad te drukken. Drukpersen werden druk als ze werden gebruikt voor wervingsdoeleinden, en het effect dat die beroemde <a title=\"solopress goedkoop posters drukken\" href=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/nl\/posters\/\">posters<\/a> hadden zijn een bewijs van de kracht van reclame.
