We bestellen visitekaartjes of kopen een <a href=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/nl\/paperback-books\/\">paperbackboek<\/a>en nooit nadenken over hoe drukwerk de wereld heeft veranderd.<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Van houten blokken tot de uitvinding van de drukpers zijn er grote stappen gezet. Ze hebben de manier waarop we leren, denken en communiceren gevormd en het is verbazingwekkend om te bedenken hoeveel facetten van ons leven door drukwerk zijn be\u00efnvloed.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27708\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/Gutenberg_Printing_Press.jpg\" alt=\"gutenberg en hoe drukwerk de wereld heeft veranderd\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Pioniers in drukwerk<\/h2>\n<p>Voordat Johann Gutenberg de drukpers met bewegende letters uitvond, drukten de Chinezen met gesneden houten blokken. De techniek werd vervolgens opgepikt door de Koreanen en verspreidde zich uiteindelijk naar Europa. In de 15e eeuw richtte Gutenberg zijn aandacht op het maken van de grotere mechanische pers en de revolutie in de drukkunst begon. In plaats van beperkt te zijn tot het produceren van drukwerk met de hand, wat een aanzienlijke hoeveelheid tijd, vaardigheid en geletterdheid vergde, konden nu tot 500 boeken per week worden geproduceerd.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27709\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/printing-blocks_254.jpg\" alt=\"pioniers van de chinese drukkunst\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Toegang tot informatie<\/h2>\n<p>Toen het gemakkelijker werd om boeken en pamfletten te produceren, begon informatie zich te verspreiden. Voorheen hadden alleen religieuze leiders en het koningshuis toegang tot boeken en weinig mensen waren geletterd. Maar toen er steeds meer leesmateriaal voorhanden was, begonnen de mensen te leren lezen. En terwijl ze lazen, begonnen ze vraagtekens te zetten bij de literatuur die hen werd aangeboden. Ze wilden zelf leren en ontdekken, in plaats van te geloven wat er in boeken stond.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27710\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/gutenberg_11358_md.gif\" alt=\"print heeft de wereld veranderd\" width=\"500\" height=\"606\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Een renaissance<\/h2>\n<p>Met zo'n enorme toename in toegang tot informatie, hechtten mensen meer belang aan onderwijs. De communicatie werd verbeterd en lezen werd een populair tijdverdrijf. Dit ontketende een wetenschappelijke en culturele revolutie. De boekdrukkunst veranderde de wereld in dit geval, want er bloeide een Renaissancebeweging op. Massaal geproduceerde boeken stimuleerden de groei van hogescholen en het succes van schrijvers.<\/p>\n<p>Van daaruit is een wereld van kennis ontstaan. Kun je je een leven zonder boeken voorstellen? Kranten? Tijdschriften? De mogelijkheid om een exemplaar van je eigen religieuze tekst te bezitten, ongeacht welk geloof je aanhangt? Zelfs eenvoudige, gedrukte nieuwsbrieven of <a title=\"solopress gedrukte brochures\" href=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/nl\/brochures-boekjes\/\">brochures<\/a>? We zouden nog steeds in het duister tasten.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27712\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/pile-of-old-books.jpg\" alt=\"print heeft de wereld veranderd\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Religieuze verschillen<\/h2>\n<p>Een groot deel van deze Renaissance was de Protestantse Reformatie. De drukpers begon kopie\u00ebn van de Bijbel te maken en bleef de verspreiding van informatie aanwakkeren. Het duurde niet lang voordat er materiaal werd geproduceerd dat alternatieve christelijke leerstellingen promootte of de kerk in twijfel trok. Een van de vele manieren waarop drukwerk de wereld heeft veranderd, was de rol die het speelde in deze religieuze revolutie en vele andere sindsdien.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27713\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/gutenberg_case.jpg\" alt=\"de gutenbergbijbel\" width=\"500\" height=\"328\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Technologische vooruitgang<\/h2>\n<p>Print heeft niet alleen geholpen deze Renaissance op gang te brengen, maar heeft de wereld ook veranderd door als startpunt te dienen voor andere technologische ontwikkelingen. Het idee van typen is er waarschijnlijk uit voortgekomen en als gevolg daarvan zijn typemachines, computers en zelfs iPads, blogs, het internet en e-mail ontstaan.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-27714\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/cozy-kindle-kindle3-amazon-reading-reader-e-reader-couch.jpg\" alt=\"print heeft de wereld veranderd nu hebben we het niet eens meer nodig\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>De wereld vandaag<\/h2>\n<p>In 2015 vinden we de mogelijkheid om te printen vanzelfsprekend. Veel mensen hebben zich afgekeerd van gedrukte materialen zoals kranten of brieven en kiezen in plaats daarvan voor elektronische versies. Tegelijkertijd erkennen sommigen van ons dat drukwerk nog steeds een ongelooflijk belangrijk medium is, dat niet helemaal kan worden weggelaten omwille van een smartphone.
