Laten we eens kijken hoe hij van sociale verschoppeling uitgroeide tot popicoon van de jaren 1960.<\/em><\/h3>\n<p>Andy Warhol werd geboren in Pennsylvania in 1928 en bracht een groot deel van zijn jeugd bedlegerig door omdat hij leed aan <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sydenham%27s_chorea\">Chorea van Sydenham<\/a>. Deze plannen veranderden echter en hij koos ervoor om commerci\u00eble kunst te studeren aan het Carnegie Institute of Technology, waardoor hij betrokken raakte bij kunsttijdschriften voor studenten en zijn eerste covers en paginagrote illustraties illustreerde. Hij werd snel populair door zijn eigenzinnige stijl voor schoenenreclames en was te zien in een show die hem onder de aandacht bracht van RCA Records. In deze spannende tijd tijdens de expansie van de industrie werd hij aan het werk gezet om albumhoezen en promotiemateriaal te ontwerpen. De plaat die algemeen werd geaccepteerd als zijn eerste hoes was Carlos Ch\u00e1vez - A Program of Mexican Music uitgebracht in 1949. In 1962 maakte hij zijn West Coast Pop Art-debuut met zijn populaire 'Marilyn Diptych', '100 Soup Cans' en '100 Coke Bottles'.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31446\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/andy-warhol-velvet-underground.jpg\" alt=\"Andy Warhol Velvet Underground\" width=\"600\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Warhol cre\u00eberde het direct herkenbare bananenillustratie in 1966 voor het gelijknamige 'The Velvet Underground and Nico' album. Hoewel het album naar verluidt slechts 30.000 exemplaren verkocht in de eerste 5 jaar, is het sindsdien bijna 200 keer opnieuw uitgebracht en is het in veel landen een multi-platina plaat geworden, waardoor Warhols werk nog steeds in de schappen van platenzaken over de hele wereld ligt.<\/p>\n<h2>Je mag het niet weten<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>De banaan op de originele Velvet Underground en Nico hoes was een sticker die de luisteraar kon afpellen om een 'naakte' banaan te onthullen.<\/li>\n<li>Er wordt gesuggereerd dat het beroemde 'Like a Rolling Stone' van Bob Dylan over Warhol is geschreven.<\/li>\n<li>Warhols bescheiden familiewortels be\u00efnvloedden zijn werk: er wordt gedacht dat de keuze van zijn moeder voor het hoofdgerecht tijdens de lunch de aanleiding was voor zijn Campbell Soup-serie.<\/li>\n<li>Op de middelbare school sloot de kunstclub Warhol uit omdat hij beter was dan de andere leden.<\/li>\n<li>Zijn allereerste film heette 'Sleep' en was een 6 uur durend meesterwerk van zijn slapende vriend.
