{"id":31881,"date":"2015-10-20T15:42:17","date_gmt":"2015-10-20T14:42:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/?p=31881"},"modified":"2019-01-17T20:20:42","modified_gmt":"2019-01-17T20:20:42","slug":"ongelofelijke-vintage-posters-van-de-zee","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/nl\/print-inspiration\/incredible-vintage-seaside-posters\/","title":{"rendered":"Ongelooflijke oude kustposters"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"bsf_rt_marker\"><\/div><p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h3><em>Laten we een stap terug in de tijd doen en onze lokale geschiedenis vieren met een aantal prachtige vintage posters van de kust.\u00a0<\/em><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">Volgens historici gaat dit terug tot de Romeinse tijd, toen de rijkere leden van de samenleving die in Colchester woonden Mersea Island bezochten om op vakantie te gaan.\u00a0<\/span>De ontwikkeling van het strand als vrijetijdsoord in het midden van de jaren 1800 maakte de weg vrij voor wat later een wereldwijde toerisme-industrie zou worden. De eerste echte badplaatsen werden iets eerder geopend en waren gericht op de aristocratie, die de kust en de toen modieuze kuuroorden begon te bezoeken voor ontspanning en gezondheid.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31887\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/454299-10.jpg\" alt=\"Southend-on-Sea Kust Poster\" width=\"600\" height=\"912\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 1871 kondigde de Britse regering de Bank Holidays act af. Het hele jaar door waren er offici\u00eble feestdagen waardoor mensen tijd hadden om weg te blijven van hun werk. Terwijl de rijkere gezinnen in de zomer vaak een week bleven, konden de arbeidersklasse dankzij de grote verbeteringen aan het spoorwegsysteem zo'n dertig jaar eerder dagtochtjes maken naar badplaatsen voor wat gezonde frisse lucht. Deze grote toestroom van bezoekers leidde ertoe dat ondernemers accommodaties en nieuwe attracties bouwden om hiervan te profiteren en de economische groei in de kustplaatsen een impuls te geven.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31886\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Westcliff-Rail-Poster.jpg\" alt=\"Westcliff Seaside Rail Poster\" width=\"600\" height=\"426\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Natuurlijk werden er veel posters gemaakt om reclame te maken voor de kustplaatsen, om de boodschap over de nu beschikbare frisse lucht en de door de regering geadviseerde rust te verspreiden. Southend-on-Sea was bijvoorbeeld de enige badplaats waarvoor reclame werd gemaakt in de ondergrondse. Elektrische treinen brachten vakantiegangers tot aan Barking, waar stoomlocomotieven het de rest van de reis overnamen. Van 1910 tot 1939 maakten Southend-on-Sea en Shoeburyness zelfs deel uit van de District Line. In een terugkeer naar de vintage trend hebben velen deze klassieke advertenties gekopieerd; de originelen worden nu gezien als verzamelobjecten.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-31888\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/Southend.jpg\" alt=\"Southend Seaside Poster\" width=\"600\" height=\"995\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Vorig jaar rond deze tijd werden bijna 200 vintage reisposters van over de hele wereld geveild in New York, waarbij sommige winnende biedingen opliepen tot meer dan $500,000. De veilingmeesters herinnerden de potenti\u00eble kopers aan een tijdperk van reizen waarin vakanties voor de welgestelden waren, stoomtreinen de norm waren en commerci\u00eble vliegtuigen propellers hadden.
