De Managing Director van Solopress, Simon Cooper, bezocht 10 Downing Street op 22 oktober.<\/span>en<\/span> van juni met de Independent Print Industries Association (IPIA) om te pleiten voor het enorme potentieel van onze industrie en de veelbelovende toekomst die print kan hebben met de steun van onze regering.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

IPIA: Een kampioen voor de grafische industrie\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

De IPIA werd in 1990 opgericht als een handelsvereniging zonder winstoogmerk die zich inzet voor de groei en ontwikkeling van de drukindustrie.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De organisatie bestaat uit meer dan 400 leden, waaronder drukkers, printmanagers, serviceproviders en fabrikanten van apparatuur, en is een invloedrijke pleitbezorger voor de industrie. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ze werken samen met een groot aantal andere toonaangevende handelsorganisaties om de branche te promoten, het bewustzijn te vergroten en de toekomst van drukwerk te ondersteunen.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Het uiteindelijke doel van de IPIA is het bevorderen van een sterkere, grotere printindustrie, waarbij de invloed van de IPIA wordt gebruikt om het enorme potentieel van de industrie en de veelbelovende toekomst die deze met overheidssteun zou kunnen hebben, te benadrukken.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De Britse grafische industrie: Een productie succesverhaal\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

De drukkerij-industrie in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, met een geschiedenis die teruggaat tot de toekenning van een Royal Charter aan de Stationers Guild in 1557, is uitgegroeid tot meer dan 4.000 bedrijven.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Het Verenigd Koninkrijk is een toonaangevende ontwikkelaar en exporteur van producten voor beveiligd drukwerk, een wereldwijde vernieuwer op het gebied van inktproductie en de thuisbasis van grote wereldwijde merken op het gebied van printtechnologie.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De grafische industrie levert jaarlijks een directe bijdrage aan de economie van 14 miljard pond, biedt werk aan 112.000 geschoolde werknemers in meer dan 8.000 bedrijven en genereert 3 miljard pond aan loonbijdragen.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In vergelijking met andere sectoren is de Britse grafische industrie erin geslaagd om haar positie als mondiale speler te behouden: het Verenigd Koninkrijk staat momenteel op de 6e plaats van grootste producenten van gedrukte producten ter wereld.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De behoefte aan overheidsbetrokkenheid\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Ondanks het belang ervan is de betrokkenheid van de overheid bij de grafische industrie de afgelopen decennia aanzienlijk afgenomen.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Nu presteren landen als de VS, China, Japan, Duitsland en India, die de grafische industrie hebben opgenomen in hun groeistrategie\u00ebn voor de productie, beter dan het VK in de wereldwijde grafische markt.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Tijdens hun bezoek aan Downing Street kon de IPIA-delegatie, waaronder Simon Cooper van Solopress, de vele manieren belichten waarop overheidssteun de sector kan helpen concurrerend te blijven en de recente neergang te keren.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De printindustrie in het Verenigd Koninkrijk heeft aanzienlijke vooruitgang geboekt op het gebied van duurzaamheid en loopt voorop in de verwezenlijking van de overheidsambities van netto nul. <\/span><\/p>\n

Het bedrijf gebruikt materialen met een hoge duurzaamheidsindex, ontwikkelt initiatieven voor recycling en herfabricage en ondersteunt wereldwijde duurzaamheidsnormen. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Terwijl het land zijn plaats in de wereldeconomie na de Brexit ontwikkelt, kan de druk- en papierindustrie, met de juiste steun, blijven floreren als een succesverhaal van de Britse verwerkende industrie. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dit sluit aan bij het recente nieuws dat het Verenigd Koninkrijk is toegetreden tot het handelsblok Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), waardoor het een cruciaal moment is om de Britse print- en papierexport te helpen vergroten.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

De integrale rol van de grafische industrie<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

De industrie blijft ook cruciaal voor het functioneren van verschillende sectoren, waaronder de verwerkende industrie, de detailhandel, het onderwijs en de farmaceutische industrie. <\/span><\/p>\n

Bovendien draagt onze industrie bij aan de democratie van het land door burgers een platform te bieden om hun politieke voorkeuren kenbaar te maken via gedrukte stembiljetten. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Inspelen op de behoefte aan jonge arbeidskrachten<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h2>\n

Een van de doelen van de bijeenkomst op 10 Downing Street was het stimuleren van de promotie van onze industrie, zodat jong talent aangetrokken kan blijven worden tot de sector. <\/span><\/p>\n

Zonder dergelijke hulp zullen de geschoolde arbeidskrachten niet voldoende zijn om de toekomstige doelstellingen te halen.<\/span><\/p>\n

Het is een dringende kwestie die aandacht en samenwerking vereist tussen de sector en de overheid om te zorgen voor een constante talentpijplijn voor de continu\u00efteit en groei van de sector.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
