Deze automaat, aangedreven door Ricoh printtechnologie, is verbonden met het internet en kan onmiddellijk een keuze van meer dan 200 tijdschriften en magazines afdrukken. Volgens Meganews blijft maar liefst 40% van de traditionele gedrukte tijdschriften onverkocht en gaat direct naar de recycling. De automatische kiosk bespaart papier omdat hij alleen tijdschriften en kranten op aanvraag afdrukt.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left;\">Nieuwe manier om tijdschriften te distribueren en te verkopen<\/h2>\n<p>Zweedse shoppers kiezen eerst het tijdschrift van hun keuze via het aanraakscherm van de kiosk, betalen met hun creditcard en dan wordt het tijdschrift onmiddellijk afgedrukt terwijl ze wachten. Meganews zegt dat het minder dan twee minuten duurt om een compleet tijdschrift af te drukken.<\/p>\n<p>Naast het verminderen van de milieu-impact van het uitgeven van tijdschriften en kranten door het in dienst nemen van <b>druk op aanvraag<\/b> technologie, een ander voordeel van dit systeem is dat anderstalige edities, speciale uitgaven en oudere exemplaren van tijdschriften kunnen worden gearchiveerd en op elk moment kunnen worden afgedrukt.<\/p>\n<p>Er zijn nog geen concrete details over een Meganews kiosk in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, maar hou je ogen open voor een nieuwe kiosk op je plaatselijke treinstation, vliegveld, hotel, universiteit, ziekenhuis of supermarkt in de komende
