That was the dilemma faced by London design agency <a title=\"Great design is an investment in your future\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pearlfisher.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Pearlfisher <\/a>when chocolate giants <strong>Cadbury<\/strong> wanted a redesign for their iconic <strong>Dairy Milk<\/strong> brand.<\/p>\n<p>The creative minds at Pearlfisher were inspired by the idea of \u2018say what you see\u2019, replacing the original product shots on the <strong>packaging<\/strong> with \u201cplayful, imaginative and joyful expressions\u201d of each unique flavour and character in Cadbury\u2019s Dairy Milk range.<\/p>\n<p>Like McDonald\u2019s recent global rebranding, the packaging for Cadbury\u2019s Dairy Milk will also feature QR codes. If people scan them with their smartphones, they will be able to download surprise \u201cjoyful content\u201d that&#8217;s been designed by the Cadbury team to help make them smile.<\/p>\n<h2>How They Compare<\/h2>\n<p>Here\u2019s the latest packaging redesign for Cadbury Dairy Milk:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/cadbury-dairy-milk-new-design.jpg\" alt=\"Cadbury Dairy Milk new packaging design\" width=\"605\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11499\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/cadbury-dairy-milk-new-branding.jpg\" alt=\"Cadbury Dairy Milk new branding\" width=\"605\" height=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And this is the previous Cadbury Dairy Milk packaging design, also created by Pearlfisher back in 2009 (the image credit for the older version goes to Design Week):<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-11501\" src=\"https:\/\/www.solopress.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/cadbury-dairy-milk-old-design.jpg\" alt=\"Cadbury Dairy Milk old packaging design\" width=\"482\" height=\"241\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After the design debacle of \u00a0Yahoo!\u2019s new logo earlier this autumn, Pearlfisher\u2019s latest work is a pitch perfect lesson in redesigning a well-known brand\u2019s identity the right way.
