Solopress is proud to support Havens Hospices as a sponsor of Race4Business 2025<\/a>, a charity fun run that brings Essex businesses together in aid of local palliative care. Organised by Havens Hospices, the event returns to Chelmsford\u2019s Central and Admirals Parks on Wednesday 2nd July for an day of fundraising, fitness and team spirit.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Open to individuals and teams from across the county, Race4Business is a 5km chip-timed run along a flat, accessible route. Whether you walk, jog or run, the focus is on participation, not performance. The finish line leads straight into the event village, where stalls, music and refreshments continue the day’s positive spirit into the evening.<\/span><\/p>\n

Havens Hospices<\/a> cares for babies, children and adults living with complex or incurable conditions across Essex. The charity provides specialist support to manage pain, symptoms and emotional wellbeing, giving families more time together when it matters most. It receives limited government funding, so community fundraising plays a vital role in sustaining this free, essential care. According to Rachel Hawksworth, deputy head of fundraising, Havens Hospices has to raise over \u00a383,000 per week to cover costs. Events like Race4Business are key to that effort, and Solopress is honoured to play a part.<\/span><\/p>\n

Supporting Havens Hospices<\/b><\/h2>\n

We selected Havens Hospices as our nominated charity for this year on account of their inspiring work in our community. The Race4Business sponsorship is one of many activities, including the Waddle-on-Sea event, through which we aim to support their work, raise funds and spread awareness.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

From the Fair Havens adult hospice in Southend to Little Havens, which provides care for children across Essex, the organisation serves more than 3,000 people annually. Care is tailored to each person\u2019s needs, whether delivered in hospice buildings, at home or in hospitals. Support also extends to families, offering respite care, bereavement counselling and practical advice.<\/span><\/p>\n

By taking part in events like Race4Business, businesses and individuals can help Havens continue to provide this compassionate and vital service.<\/span><\/p>\n

Solopress on the starting line<\/b><\/h2>\n

In addition to sponsoring the event, Solopress is assembling a team of colleagues to take part in the race itself. As a Southend-based business with a growing presence across the county, it\u2019s a chance to show our support, raise awareness and get involved on the ground.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our presence at the event will be marked, not just by our runners, but by printed materials too. Solopress will be <\/span>producing\u00a0large format and promotional items to help make the day feel special.<\/p>\n

Putting in the legwork<\/b><\/h2>\n

A branded gazebo<\/a> will give Solopress colleagues a focal point to gather, while<\/span> flags<\/span><\/a> co-branded with the Race4Business and Havens logos will help identify the event along the route. Runners from the Solopress team will also receive branded drawstring bags, a practical way to keep belongings safe during the race and a handy memento of the day.<\/span><\/p>\n

And for a final touch, we’ll be providing specially branded packs of Havens Hospices<\/span> fruit gums<\/span><\/a> to be handed out at the event for a well-deserved sugar hit!<\/span><\/p>\n

Whether you\u2019re running, cheering, donating or just curious, Race4Business 2025 is set to be a great day in support of an exceptional cause.<\/span><\/p>\n

Entry is \u00a326 for participants, but there is the option to register as a ‘Havens Hero’ for \u00a340.50, which covers an additional contribution to the cost of essential care at the hospices. Registration opens at 5:30pm on the day, with the race starting at 6:30pm from Central Park, Chelmsford, CM2 0RW. Anyone aged 16 or over can still register to join the run, whether solo or as part of a team, via the Havens Hospices website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
