Easter is a beautiful time of year. We have spring colours, flowers blooming, the weather’s warming up and it’s a time family and friends can be together. Not to mention its an excuse to eat chocolate all day and not feel guilty.
We all enjoy getting stuck in with some arts and crafts that everyone can take part in. So below are a few craft ideas for anybody to enjoy.
1. Spring Wreaths
Even if the weather is still a little bit gloomy outside, brighten up your home by making a colourful spring wreath. The forms for wreaths can be picked up for no more than a couple of pounds from most craft stores. Then simply work around the form with string, fabric, paper, pompoms, just about anything!
2. Painting Eggs
Egg Painting is a classic Easter activity. You can either use hard boiled or for the more experienced you can blow the eggs just to leave the shell.
You can decorate with paint, stickers, or use flowers and leaves to create Easter masterpieces. It can be as intricate or as straightforward as you like.
3. Easter Themed Jars
We all have empty jars ready to throw away, this Easter holiday, turn them into reusable Easter theme jars by simply adding a bit of paint, ribbon or some glitter. Perfect for holding any Easter sweets you just couldn’t finish or fill with goodies and you have the perfect Easter gift!
4. Easter Buckets
Take a spin on the traditional Easter baskets and transform an old bucket into the perfect tool for the Easter egg hunt! Just fill with some shredded paper or tissue to nest the eggs in and decorate the outside with themed stickers, paint on some rabbits and chicks or add a name and the hunt can begin.
5. Bunny Bunting
Garlands and bunting are easy to make and can be made out of a variety of materials. Use paper, card or felt to cut into your chosen shape and use string or ribbon of your choice to display across doorways, the ceiling, anywhere you want! They are the perfect decoration for a party too.
Whatever you are doing over the Easter period, have fun and enjoy the four-day weekend if you are lucky enough to have the time off! Hopefully, these ideas give you some tips to keep everyone entertained and smiling. Happy Easter.
