Pantone has just released their colour of the year for 2017 and it’s taken on a natural hue.
Last year, we were spoilt with two colours of the year, the confluence of Rose Quartz and Serenity. Pantone has gone back to basics with Greenery, a natural, fresh green hue.
Inspired by connotations of hope, the earthy green has been picked to contrast against the current instabilities in the world. It also reminds us of being environmentally friendly, being healthy and happy.
Executive director of the Pantone institute Leatrice Eiseman explains “Through its reassuring yet assertive vibrancy, Greenery offers us self-assurance and boldness to live life on our own terms, during a time when we are redefining what makes us successful and happy.”
So, how will you integrate “Greenery” into your next designs? Let us know in the comments.
