Digital Print Processor (Igen/MAC Operators)

Qualifications:
Not essential but must be literate and numerate
Skills:
- Self motivated
- Good communicator
- Good eye for detail
- Accurate and fast planner
- Willing to stay until job is completed
- Full Creative Suite such as:
- Photoshop
- Indesign
- Illustrator
- Hand finishing required on some jobs
Experience:
- Worked in similar role before
- Xerox iGen 4
Main Duties:
- Plan orders using information received from the sales team
- Ensure that the final printed product is finished in time for the dispatch team
- Update the system at each stage of the process
- Work within the companies Quality Management System
- Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality
- Troubleshoot equipment problems. Arrange for the engineers to attend if necessary
Digital Video Designer
Solopress, the UK’s fastest growing online commercial printers, are hiring! We’re currently looking for a Digital Video Designer.
We need a creative person with the imagination, talent, experience and people skills to produce a wide range of exciting video projects for us – from product demonstrations, ‘how to’ tutorials and customer testimonials to adverts, competition promos and mini-documentaries. Also, do you have what it takes to create a worldwide Gangnam Style or Harlem Shake viral sensation for Solopress on YouTube?
Required:
- Creative digital video making and 3D animator skills – including concept, scripting/storyboarding, preparing the shoot, lighting, filming, animating and editing videos ready for the web
- Experience with all the leading software tools such as After Effects, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and Cinema 4D
- Adobe Flash and other website/mobile graphic design skills would be considered extremely useful
- Proven ability to successfully see a video project through from the very beginning to a perfect end result – all within deadline and budget
- Team player with a ‘can do’ attitude

Guillotine Operators
We're currently looking for experienced Guillotine Operators to work in our busy Print Finishing department.
Skills required:
- Must be able to operate guillotines - experience in the print industry is essential
- Flexible attitude, willing to work with the team to get the job completed
- Must be literate and numerate in order to be able to understand the instructions for each print job (but qualifications not essential)
- Must be computer literate to be able to operate computer applications in order to carry out daily work
- Ability to learn and operate other print finishing machinery as new equipment is installed
- Perform operator maintenance of guillotine equipment
- Help maintain a high level of safety, cleanliness and organisation around the workplace
- Comply with all company and HSE Health & Safety rules
- To abide by and support our company’s ISO 9000/ISO 14001 and Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Customer Service/Sales Support
We're currently looking for an experienced Customer Service/Sales Support Officer - preferably from within the print industry.
Required:
- A naturally polite, helpful and tactful person, you will also have excellent problem solving and communication skills (both spoken and written English)
- Has previously worked within sales services and the printing industry
- Friendly personality to effectively deal with all customer calls and e-mails – investigating, logging and responding to queries as appropriate
- Ability to speak positively and enthusiastically about Solopress, our products and our services to ensure that a professional company and brand image is provided at all times to customers and colleagues
- Great time management, highly accurate with excellent attention to detail
- Computer literature – good working knowledge of how to operate databases and e-mails
- To work as part of a team to achieve the departmental standards
- Provide management with reports as required
Designers
We're always looking for experienced Designers/Artworkers. You should be capable of quickly producing original and creative ideas in print and must have excellent skills in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Acrobat.
Skills required:
- Competent in the use of Full Adobe CS Suite
- Outstanding Customer Care
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Good eye for detail spotting potential issues
- Ability to maintain composure and work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Must be flexible and willing to stay until all the jobs have been completed
- Previous experience in the print industry preferred

Dispatch
We're always looking for a Dispatch Co-ordinator to work in our busy dispatch and deliveries department. Ideally, you will have experience of working in the dispatch control room of a transport or printing company. You must be PC literate, have great communication skills and be able to provide flawless customer service at all times.
Required:
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office and e-mail software
- Competent in data entry on in-house database system (FileMaker)
- Excellent customer care
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communicator both on the telephone and through e-mails
- Good eye for detail, spotting potential issues
- Ability to maintain composure and work effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Must be flexible and willing to stay until all the jobs have been delivered
- Previous dispatch experience required

Sales
We're always looking for experienced Telesales Executives with awesome customer relationship skills and a proven track record of achieving ambitious sales targets. Candidates with print sales experience and an existing portfolio of clients will go straight to the top of our shortlist!
Required:
- Excellent sales and customer liaison skills
- Create and maintain superb business relationships with your own portfolio of clients
- A firm knowledge of print, finishing and familiarity with Adobe design software

Print Estimator
We're always looking for experienced Print Estimators. You will be responsible for providing competitive printing quotations for our existing and prospective customers via phone, e-mail and online live chat.
Printing - Litho
We're always looking for experienced Litho Printers to run our Heidelberg Speedmaster 74 lithographic printing presses. Shifts will be a mixture of days and nights including weekends.
Printing - Digital
We're always looking for experienced Digital Printers to run our Xerox iGen 4 and wide format digital colour printing presses. Shifts will be a mixture of days and nights including weekends.
Print Finishing

Drivers
We’re always looking for experienced multi drop Delivery Van Drivers for London and the surrounding areas, hours vary, initially for a 3-month period with the possibility of this leading to a permanent position for the right candidates. Applicants must be aged 25 or over and hold a clean driving licence, be punctual and reliable.
Reception
We're always looking for experienced Receptionists to work in our front office. Attention to detail and a warm friendly professional manner are essential as you'll be dealing with walk-in customers and phone enquiries. Hours vary, but are typically 7am until 3pm or 1pm until 9pm, Monday to Friday.
