Print Finisher

The right opportunity for a hard-worker willing to learn in a thriving and successful print company

  • Experience in the online print industry is not essential as training will be provided


  • Various print finishing roles
  • Learn and operate finishing machinery
  • Pack boxes for shipping/delivery

Hours: Monday - Friday, Full-Time

Salary: £300 - £400 per week

Large Format Printer


  • Knowledge of Photoshop
  • Understanding of large format printing workflow and colour management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must work as part of a team


  • Experienced in setting and running large format digital machinery
  • Must be capable from seeing the job from initial brief through to print ready artwork
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment ensuring high standards are kept at all times
  • Experience using an Epson Stylus Pro 9700 is desirable

Main Duties:

  • To undertake preparation of files and printing of large format digital jobs as requested.
  • Printing banners and posters
  • Update the system at each stage of the process
  • Ensure the quality of job output for correctness and image quality
  • Cutting to correct size with trimmer
  • Packing jobs ready for despatch

Live Chat Advisor

We’re currently looking for a Live Chat Advisor to join our Sales/Live Chat department.


  • A knowledge of print is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work as a team


  • Customer service / sales experience essential
  • Excellent organisational skills

Main Duties:

  • Using our online chat service to type to live customers providing quotes
  • Answering any queries the customer may have or providing them with the relevant information of someone who can help
  • Developing and maintaining positive customer relationships when providing estimates and quotes

This is a full time role based at the Solopress premises in Southend-on-Sea, Essex.


IGEN 4 Operator


  •     Self motivated
  •     Good communicator
  •     Good eye for detail
  •     Excellent communication skills
  •     Willing to stay until job is completed
  •     Hand finishing required on some jobs


  •     Worked in similar role before
  •     Experience using a Xerox iGen 4

Main Duties:

  •     Print jobs using our iGen 4 Digital printers
  •     Ensure that the final printed product is finished in time for despatch
  •     Update the system at each stage of the process
  •     Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality

Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week, shift rotation

Shifts: 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am

Online Product Specialist

We’re currently looking for an Online Product Specialist to join our Sales department. 

The Online Product Specialist is at the forefront of Solopress, servicing the customers over the telephone, via e-mail and occasionally in person.

The Online Product Specialist is responsible for maintaining customer relations and assisting customers with their product enquiries. This includes cross-selling and upselling, based on understanding customer requirements.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Answering telephone calls and e-mails, providing quotations and product information to prospective and existing customers
  • Using FileMaker to process quotations, chase quotations and close where required
  • Making full use of the tools made available, such as the Solopress website, to provide accurate information to prospective clients
  • Using sales tools to upsell and cross-sell products, ensuring customers needs are met
  • Developing and maintaining customer relations

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous print, design or sales experienced preferred but not essential
  • Data Entry skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines
  • Flexibility regarding working hours
  • Excellent customer liaison skills
  • Organisational and administration skills

This is a full time role based at the Solopress premises in Southend-on-Sea, Essex

Pre Press Operator: Digital


Must be literate and numerate


  • Self motivated
  • Good communicator
  • Good eye for detail
  • Willing to stay until job is completed
  • Competent with Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator

Main Duties and Experience:

  • Plan orders using information received from the sales team
  • Ensure that the information is sent to the Digital Print team in a timely fashion so that the final printed product is finished in time for the dispatch team
  • Update the system at each stage of the process
  • Work within the companies Quality Management System
  • Monitor quality of job output for correctness and image quality

Warehouse Cleaner


  • Manual handling
  • Forklift experience would be advantageous


  • Experience in a factory / warehouse environment is desirable
  • Experience in the print industry would be a bonus
  • Flexible attitude willing to work with the team to get the job completed

Main Duties:

  • Using a forklift to unload deliveries (training can be provided)
  • Sweeping and cleaning to ensure the factory is kept tidy at all times
  • Emptying bins around the factory
  • Any other cleaning duties as required

Hours: Sunday - Friday -- 4pm - 12am

Salary: National Minimum Wage
