Reach Tutors is an educational startup that’s already built up a solid clientele of eager learners.
Brothers Sanj and Akhil from Harrow in North London started the business late last year, offering revision classes in GCSE Maths and Science.
Education, education education!
Having both become qualified teachers in secondary education, the brothers gathered classroom experience in local schools, before becoming interested in supplementary tuition.
As they grew aware of the local market for tuition, Sanj and Akhil became increasingly concerned that many practicing tutors appeared to be unqualified, lacking a DBS Check and out of touch with the ever changing demands of the National Curriculum. What’s more, they were charging exorbitant fees for their services.
A business opportunity…
The brothers spotted a clear gap in the market for high-quality, supplementary education by qualified teachers at an affordable price, and that’s how Reach Tuition was born.
Sanj and Akhil remain full-time school teachers: immersed in the GCSE syllabus and the needs and concerns of pupils in years 9, 10 & 11. Crucially, they’re able to take this insight and use it to prepare GCSE candidates with complementary lessons that include exam technique and practice, as well as an understanding of mark schemes that helps pupils optimise their results.
Promoting Reach Tutors
One of the ways Sanj and Akhil have been able to market their business is through print. By starting off with business cards, they found a way to spread the word about Reach Tutors without a huge outlay:
“Solopress has really helped us get our name out there with their affordable and high-quality products. We regularly purchase business cards and deliver them door to door”
Reach Tutors now uses leaflets and a roller banner from Solopress to bolster their branding:
“We’ve also purchased leaflets that we deliver to local businesses that have agreed to support us. And we’ve purchased a wonderful roller banner that stands proudly at Nower Hill High School on Saturdays!”
This young company has ambitions to expand its scope, as well as expanding its use of print. Reach tutors are looking to introduce bespoke stationary products, folders and exam packs, for which they will once again be partnering with Solopress.
“The customer service provided by Solopress has consistently been great. Solopress has a very easy to use website and the team on the other end of the phone are always helpful!”
