When lockdown hit, the launch of fledgling salon The Hair Gallery was knocked back — but not out. Undeterred, and with the help of Visors from Solopress, the salon was soon up and running and adjusting to the new normal.

Robyn Moore had already been a Solopress customer for some years before opening The Hair Gallery this year. The young entrepreneur had previously been the proprietor of a local fashion publication called The Shropshire Socialite. Robyn designed and wrote the magazine, using Solopress for print.
Robyn’s next venture was to be The Hair Gallery, a luxury boutique hair & beauty salon on the picturesque high street of Much Wenlock, in the heart of Shropshire. It was Robyn’s positive experiences of Solopress that spurred her to use us again in preparation for the launch of her new project.

Unforeseeable circumstances
However, during preparations for launch, world events were beginning to transform the high street into a less welcoming place…
Sadly, Robyn’s dream of hitting the ground running was not to be. After opening on the 3rd of March, 2020, the salon was open for only 3 weeks before lockdown forced her to close the doors that she’d so recently opened to the public.
A difficult and frustrating period followed, as Robyn kept an eye on developments and looked out for ways to create a safe hairdressing environment where she could once again welcome clients.
Hope and preparation
When the government announced that Hair and Beauty Salons would be permitted to reopen on Saturday the 4th of July, Robyn went all out to plan a responsible reopening that would conform to Government guidelines:
“I had to ensure we had the correct PPE for clients and staff to follow the Government’s guidelines. That’s when I searched for personalised Face Visors and saw that Solopress were supplying them. ” Robyn Moore
