Here’s a handy guide to brochure printing to answer a few of the more frequently asked questions.
Why Can’t I Have 10 Pages?
You may notice that the options on our website that our brochures work in multiples of four.
This is due to the way in which they are put together. A single sheet folded in half will give you a 4pp (printed pages) brochure, two pages on either side. This process will then be repeated and the sheets will be stitched together. 2 sheets will be folded and stapled together to give you an 8pp brochure and the process continues in this way.
This pagination includes the cover and the often forgotten pages on the inside of the cover.
What Are Saddle Stitched And Perfect Bound?
Saddle stitched is simply another way of describing a Stapled Brochure. Including the cover, the highest pagination we would recommend for this style of brochure would be 56pp (depending on the brochure size and the paper stocks and weights selected).
Perfect Bound Brochures are comparable with a paperback book. The pages are bound using PUR (Polyurethane Reactive) Glue and give a far more robust finish, these are ideal for creating a long lasting product and brochure with much higher paginations.
Can I Have A Thicker Cover?
You certainly can. The option to choose a different paper stock and finish for your front and back covers is available for all of our brochures. Simply select your preferred options as you build your order on our Brochures page. You can even choose a mix of paper stocks from page to page throughout the brochure.
