FSC® Certification Guide
What is the FSC®?
The Forest Stewardship Council® operates globally as a non-profit organisation, championing the cause of responsible forest management. Its strict framework of standards is derived from environmental, social and economic principles that aim to sustain forests all over the world for generations to come.
Solopress is proud to be an FSC® certificate holder, meeting its trademark requirements standard in full. We also hold Chain of Custody certification, ensuring traceability and authenticity of FSC® certified materials, from their origins and throughout their onward journey.
FSC® certification is strictly monitored, assuring you that our materials come from ethical and renewable sources, and empowering you to make informed decisions around your print purchases.
FSC® options on Solopress products
Most, but not all, of our printed paper products are now available on FSC® certified paper stocks. On those product where we are able to offer FSC® certification, the following question appears on the product page:

With a drop down menu offering the options No or Yes.

Pick this option if you choose not to specify FSC® certified materials for your job. Almost all of the paper stocks we use are FSC® compliant, so it’s highly likely your job will be produced using compliant stocks anyway. However, it will not be recorded as such, and no FSC® related claims may be made regarding the product.
- Yes
When you choose this option, your job will be recorded and reported as FSC® compliant. This means the chain of custody for the materials used will be traceable to their source. With this option, a small supplementary charge is added to cover admin costs.
When you choose Yes, the following question appears:
WOULD YOU LIKE US TO ADD THE FSC® LOGO TO YOUR ARTWORK?
Adding the FSC® logo on your materials communicates to your audience that your paper is sourced responsibly. This option carries a supplementary charge to cover artwork and our design team will add the logo in line with FSC® guidelines.
We add the logo on your behalf so that we can use our own iteration, which carries a unique licence code. This code can be used to trace the chain of custody of the materials used in this job.
Please do not include an FSC® logo in your supplied artwork, as use of the logo requires FSC® approval.
The illustrations displayed allow you to select the position where you would like the logo to appear. Your supplied artwork should leave a space for us to apply the logo in your preferred position.

If you do not wish to display the logo, simply select Not Required, and you will not be charged the supplementary artwork fee.
