Modern Slavery

About us:

AGA Print Ltd (trading as Solopress) was established in 1999 offering a fast turnaround, cost effective printing service. Celebrating 20 years of successful growth, we now employ over 270 people throughout our three sites based in Southend on Sea, Essex.

Our Commitment:

We fully recognise the need to eradicate modern slavery and would like to volunteer the following information:

We are committed to ensuring our work environment is free from human trafficking and forced labour and strongly believe that we have a responsibility for promoting ethical and lawful employment practises.

We operate a robust recruitment policy ensuring that all eligibility to work in the UK checks are carried out. Every one of our workers from permanent to temporary/seasonal has a written contract of employment and is being paid at least the appropriate minimum wage.

All individuals employed by AGA Print Ltd have entered into that employment contract of their own free will.

No worker is subjected to excessive working hours or unsafe working conditions.

Employment agencies used by AGA Print Ltd must comply with all applicable UK laws and regulations.

We will not knowingly support or deal with any business involved in the practise of slavery, servitude, forced labour and/or human trafficking.   Any associate, contractor, agency or supplier involved in inappropriate conduct or in violation of legislation (The Modern Slavery Act 2015) or this policy, may be subject to corrective action, up to and including termination of employment or cancellation of their contract for goods and/or services.

In line with our commitment to this policy statement, all AGA Print Ltd staff responsible for the recruitment and wellbeing of staff undertake external accredited training and refresher training in the areas of modern slavery and human trafficking.
