Overprinting

Overprinting is a process where a new layer of ink is printed on top of a previously printed area.

This can create a new colour or effect, or be used to correct errors.

It's important to understand how different inks interact, as some inks may not cover others effectively.

Overprinting requires precise alignment, known as registration, to ensure the layers of ink align correctly.
