Spectrophotometer

A spectrophotometer is a device used to measure the colour properties of a specific object or material.

In the printing process, it's used to ensure colour consistency and accuracy by comparing the colour of print output with the original specified colour.

The spectrophotometer does this by measuring the light absorbed and reflected by the printed colour.

This is especially important in colour-critical printing applications, where matching exact colours is a requirement.
